I think you have to update the forms before you are allowed to register. I had the same problem. - couldn't get to registration link until I added information like workplace address and some other stuff.

Am I stupid? When I go to the Register page, it only gives me the option of updating my information, and shows me how my kid is registered for 2016-17. Nowhere is there a button to register for 2017-18. WHAT AM I MISSING????

So I'm the one who drove to Syphax. Just tried the website and was totally able to register. I also recently got this email:

UPDATE from Extended Day:
We greatly apologize for the inconvenience as the registration website is again experiencing issues. The developers are working to correct any issues and make the process faster.
Please send an email extended.day@apsva.us with your student(s)'s name, school and requested sessions and we will process your registration. You will be contacted in the next few weeks with additional information.

What I don't understand is why this is not automatic/opt OUT?

Those of us who are duel-career will likely stay that way. Far fewer of us will drop out of extended day so why not make it automatic.

Think about it. How much time are we and they spending on this issue? If APS made it automatic, far far fewer of us would need their time.
Logic People; logic.

This is embarrassing. kicked out twice. Finally done after 40 mins. Who knows if it really went thru or not.

One month to fix and this is the result? Never had such trouble in the last 3 years.

Got through after 55 minutes. The last (and successful) time, the system moved like lightning.

This is ridiculous.

So after ten minutes I drove to Syphax. I arrived about 3:15 and there were already 100 people ahead of me. They were numbering forms for people in line and we waited for a while but were just told to go home and they would contact us and register in that order. There were at least 100 more people behind me in line - out the door.

Doubt APS will accept it. Those of us who were able to enroll successfully a month ago were all forced to reenroll today. Maybe they'll get this right the third time around?

FTS. Enough is enough.

Anonymous wrote:WTF!!! I got in the 1st time at 12 AM!!!! and then was told via email that I was now considered a "returning family" member and to go back on and confirm info before having to re-enroll today. Now I keep getting kicked off with all the others. This computer system is a complete piece of shit. Just like the APS rec class website.

Finally got through after 31 minutes. I am only holding my breath bc I may get another email saying to register for a 3rd time due to the technical issues with this stupid server.
