This chart,no matter whether or not it is accurate, puts the horse before the cart. The subject is rape, the statistics are incidental.

I believe that the map in the first message of this thread is being mischaracterized. If you notice, the scale is labeled, "Combine weighted data, legal and taboo scores". Understandably, the first response asks, "What exactly is this measuring?". That question never gets answered and I couldn't find an answer myself.

The OP later posts a scale that actually goes to another map. That scale goes with this map:



As you will see, this map looks quite a bit different than the previous one. I still don't know what the first map is illustrating.

Maps, with colors and statistics that reflect poorly on peoples with darker skin or practitioners of religions other than Judeo/Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, Jainan, Sikh, Wickan or Druid.... are racist or something.

"Awareness," is one of the first crucial steps toward and effective response to a problem.

All I know about Bhutan came from a 60 Minutes episode, in which they discussed the "gross national happiness" program, and that they only promote tourism for the rich and culturally sensitive.
