That said, Janney just seems to have hit the sweet spot for having great leadership, a caring and motivated faculty and fantastic kids. You won't find more committed, engaged parents anywhere than Jaguar moms and dads! We almost didn't buy in the Janney district. I wanted a neighborhood with more 'buzz', but DH -- with his very analytical, logical HLS mind -- ran the stats, did the research and persuaded this 'court' that we should move here. And our kids are doing wonderfully!
Troll.
Either classically trained troll or clueless striver who has never set foot in any other ES in the area. Good for a laugh either way!

Curious how the curriculum is different? Shouldn't they be the same?
Nope.
How are they learning different things? They are all teaching the CCSS. Maybe it just comes down to what teachers they have.
Either way, which one do you prefer?
CC is a set of standards, not a curriculum. The curriculum is the way you get the kids to learn/meet the CC standards. DC PKs have many different methods: some are Montessori, some are Creative Curriculum, some are Tools of the Mind, some are Reggio-inspired or Reggio (Murch and Mann), and so on. I don't know which these two schools use (we chose private Montessori through PreK), but they would likely address this at Open House.
