We do tons of this. I think teacher appreciation week has gotten out of control.

Gift cards are very appreciated but not remembered over the years. I will always remember the heartfelt letters and they mean so much to me.

Was going to say the same thing. Have been an educator for 26 years. While any gift is appreciated, truly the best things I've ever received are heartfelt cards or notes from students and families. About 20 years ago a student made me one of those mugs you can design yourself--has my name on it--and still use it to this day. Others may feel differently, just my two cents..

I wouldn't do bath and body works. Get something more generic like target.

They would probably rather have $10 to Target. Every teacher I know well has a closet shelf at home full of BBW teacher gifts.

For my own children's teachers I send in tissues, hand wipes and bandaids. They are in elementary school.

I'd give you some of my tissues if I could. I run out of storage space for them at the beginning of the year and always have leftover boxes that I carry over into the next year.

The best teacher gifts are Target giftcards (or Starbucks if they drink coffee).

I'm a high school teacher and tissues would be the best gift ever. I buy cases during the school year and we go through so many in the spring.

For my own children's teachers I send in tissues, hand wipes and bandaids. They are in elementary school.

My Title Ine school never has soap in the bathroom. Every student doesn't bring in supplies either so I run out of nearly everything by this time each year.

We are at a Focus school and our school asks for it on the school supply list. Teacher has a sink in the classroom.
