The only metro in Fairfax is Vienna stop. Look around 22031. Otherwise you will have to drive to Springfield.

I disagree on the walkability comment. I lived in Reston for 8 years and we walked to a lot of things. And my current neighborhood by Chantilly HS is fairly walkable as well - all 3 levels of school, the library, several parks and the shopping center at the entrance to our neighborhood with a Giant, a CVS, multiple other stores and places to eat. I even go to the dentist in that center.

Is it the city? No, but as the suburbs go, we can walk to a lot. There are days I don't get in my car at all.

there are tons of great places to live in fairfax county.

I have lived in Reston and Chantilly HS (22033) area since having kids. Have been happy with both. Our budget has always been on the low side, so what we can afford is different than what others can afford.

We live in FFX Co. because we work here. I have so many friends whose companies relocated their projects to VA, its down right crazy.
