OMG, I love these shows! The Detectorists is a sweet, British sitcom. The Dick Van Dyke Show is also on.
When Calls the Heart is on Netflix. It's a sappier, even more sanitized amalgamation of Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables.
On Amazon, you might like Lark Rise to Candleford or Upstairs/Downstairs.

Any of the David Attenborough nature documentaries. They are pretty great. There might be some animal copulation though.
The Disney nature ones are also decent and generally no animal copulation. Bears and Chimpanzees were both worth watching.

Call the Midwife is a good one but I've already watched them all. And I have a newborn (which is why she is coming to help) so I don't think my postpartum hormones can handle the emotions of that show!
