I bet oP is not a Virginia voter, but someone from DC or MD who is active in the national democratic party.
This is the new push for the democrats. They cannot win on the local level outright, so they are trying to gerrymander to win.
If this was about creating sound voting districts, OP woukd be worried about fixing the crazy gerrymandering in MD and CA.
Exactly! They don't give a d@mn about the 10th congressional district or Barbar Comstock - the DNC is just on a roll and destroy mission across the USA. Look at what they are doing about Townhalls? You don't really thing ever single Republican Congressman or Senator is consciously avoiding Townhalls? They are avoiding them because out-of-district DNC members will come and irresponsibly protest and riot.

Otherwise, Barbara Comstock would not be representing me, a chunk of Western Fairfax and Loudoun, and then a huge swatch of red ROVA. Feel free to yell about MD-- and NC. Grew up in NC, and they may well win. But, In the meantime, I'd like the interests of the Dulles and silver line folks not to be lumped in with rural interests.
Has that boundary changed since Comstock won?
Hasn't Loudon county and Western Fairfax traditionally voted Republican, up until mid-Obama?
The boundary has not changed since she won. The PP may be a new VA voter.
