I agree. At three they can walk and talk and start to understand consequences. 3.5 and older is just gross.

Yes, it is a parental failing and nothing more. We really screwed up on this in not training him earlier. Now that he is 3 years and 4 months, he is simply defiant and has no problem walking around in wet pants.
I'm surprised the preschool teachers will change the diapers. Have you tried BIG rewards? No sticker chart, but buy a desired toy and waggle it in front of his face and say he can have it if he keeps his pants dry all day. Double up on the chocolate for peeing in the potty.
