Yet that is ENTIRELY what US politics has degenerated into. He who has the most money wins. They have bought Congress and Trump and others pander to them. They totally ignore the 99%. As offensive as it is and as much as you don't want to hear it, the game is all about 1%er libs versus 1%er Republicans versus 1%er Koch bros et cetera and the rest of us are on the sidelines helpless. This is why we need to fix Citizens United, this is why we need to make sure corporations are NOT given the same rights as people, this is why we need to fix campaign finance and eliminate dark money, this is why we need lobbying reform. The rich liberals need to understand and acknowledge and get behind this. As do the rich Republicans who are horrified with Trump.

Members of Congress are having big fundraisers to schmooze with the rich yet many of them are refusing to have townhalls, their phones just ring without being answered, they are not directly reachable via regular email, they are not meeting with constituents and in fact if you show up at some of their offices without an appointment (which for many of them is virtually impossible to get) they will have security come and remove you. Same with Trump who is doing fundraisers and schmoozing with his rich friends at Mar-A-Lago yet anyone who wants to express a concern either cannot get near or is ejected if they do.

That is not a government of the people.
