I posted about this on another eyebrow thread, but I want to find someone within a 90 min drive of DC who handles brows like Strike salon in LA, where they actually coax your brows into growth and shape them. Any ideas? Everyone here just seems to want to wax and thread.

I am 55yo and don't let anyone near my brows now, because any hair removal might be permanent. I use a 10X lighted magnifying mirror, and pluck the occasional stray hair far outside the brow line. I use a brow comb and manicure scissors to pluck long hairs, and I use brow gel to cover grey hairs. Other than that, I don't touch my brows - too risky.

I've heard that Rogaine can help with this.

Why would you go to an eyebrow place if they were already too thin? All they will do is take more off. Stay away from all eyebrow shops. Throw out your tweezers. Get a pencil and draw them back on. Get long bangs to hide your eyebrows.

I'm so sorry OP. I love Azi at Christophe salon in DC. She's expensive but so worth it in my opinion. You will feel like a million bucks after she tweezes your brows.

So sorry OP. I once went to get my eyebrows waxed (clearly said I just wanted to clean them up and I liked the shape of my brows as they were). Well, the lady took it upon herself to literally wax off the inside ends of my brows! She shortened my eyebrows!! It didn't look crazy or anything, but that's not what I wanted. In any case they didn't grow all the way back in. I use an Elizabeth Arden brow pencil to fill them in.

Agree with the recommendation to see a deem for Larissa, and go to Ulta brow bar for a lesson on how to fill them in with makeup until they grow in.

I'm the PP you're referring to, and no, I'm not clueless. I had an almost identical experience to OP, just at a different place. Parts of my brows never grew back. It happens. My derm confirmed it. So I rather not give OP false hope. There IS a chance parts of her brow will never grow back or will not grow back as full as they were before. If YOU have no idea what you're talking about, I suggest you just keep it moving.

I have had "brow" disasters where it looks like a pencil was drwan so now I don't want anyone to touch my eyebrows.

And we have a winner! I like my eyebrows thick, and was at the Ulta salon for my hair when the lady kept hinting I needed my eyebrows done. Well, one look at her fine line of non-existent brows, and I bluntly said no.

First of all, you should never just go to a random place in a mall. You should go to a brow artist whose work you have seen on at least one other person. Second, be very specific with whoever you go to about what you want.

Now that the damage is done (and depending on your age / hair growth / type, it may be permanent) your best bet is to see your dermatologist or visit a spa that sells Latisse. Start using it immediately to see if you can stimulate hair growth. Don't wait it out to see what happens. Start. Now.

Go back and look at Michelle Obama's brows beginning their first year at the White House. Her brows were pencil thin. Later you see them filled in. Years of plucking, her brows will never fill in. She wears fake brows.

You can buy eyebrow filler that looks like hair until yours grow in again.

She doesn't wear fake eyebrows, give me a break. She pencils them in. Some pictures have shown more heavily or shaped, but not like putting on a sticky fake brow. Please.
