And, who are your founders? There are networks in existence - and all sorts of charter school founders - and I really do not want to have to show up at a meeting just to find out that this is part of a charter school network that I have concerns about and would not support. Thank you.
Good Morning,
I am the OP and the previous responder to your concern about charter affiliations is correct. We are not affiliated with a charter management organization or with any existing charters in DC. The co-founders are two teachers who have 40 years of experience with a diverse populations of students. We also bring a wealth of experience with both Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate.
Our goal is to submit a thoughtful charter school application that takes into consideration the needs and desires of the potential girls (and their parents) we will serve.
Thank you.
So fall 2018 or fall 2019?

Hmmm. There are already many AP classes at every DCPS high school.

Anonymous wrote:I can't attend, but I can tell you there is a great need for such a school, provided it has truly top notch academics, rigorous curriculum, and a structured, safe climate.
Anonymous wrote:I would supprt this if it was a K-8 school. High School is too late for so many of these girls. you need to start at K to provide the right influences and counter a lot of the issues at home.
