Perhaps someone needs to tell the people who make these calls that middle school kids bus runs start at 6:00 so delay calls need to come by 5:00.
Whether the delay should or should not be is not the issue. How FCPS did it is the issue.
They probably did not know the full extent until the buses were on the road and called in downed trees and the custodians were inthe schools and called in power outages. This was a surprise for everyone.
Based on what the weathermen are saying this morning, the gusts are going to be going all day. I would not be surprised if it turned into a full day cancellation. I think they played it safe.
