And, when the firefighters say "Is everyone out?" if you snuck someone in, the hotel will say yes even if one of your kids is not counted for, because you booked for two kids when really there were three.
You think they are not going to allow everyone to leave the hotel if there's a fire? Nobody is going to be looking at the ledger trying to account for adults and children. Everybody who can leave will leave.
Oh my god, NO! What I'm saying is that the hotel can't make sure everyone is out if they don't know all the people they're trying to account for.

Anonymous wrote:What? Are you really thinking that having you , your DH, and 3 kids plus an infant in the room will be pleasant and restful?? One suggestion would be is to have 3 kids stay in one room and you and DH in another with the baby. Get adjoining rooms so that you can keep the door open.
To be very honest, this sounds like no fun at all to begin with. Hotel living during vacation can be awful. I don't know where you are going, but you might think of renting a condo or house where you could have more flexibility. Good luck!

Once I put in 3 kids, the hotel either has no availability or offers me a 2 bedroom suite, which sometimes will cost $2000+ per night. Wondering if it will be a big deal to just book for 4 people and bring the baby.
What will the hotel do if they find out we have an extra baby in the room?
Has anyone been kicked out of a room for having too many kids?
I remember many fond family vacations where the six of us would be in one hotel room with our parents, sleeping bags laid out on the floor. We would often wait in the car while my dad checked in and then went in through a side entrance. There will be posters who will go off about the immorality of this, but it created tons great memories as a child of family vacations, and I didn't grow up to believe in playing the system or lacking a sense of right and wrong.

It would be 2 adults 2 kids (ages 5 and 7) and an infant. Infant would sleep in crib or pack n play.
