Anonymous wrote:OP, where did you find this list? I am looking specifically for the yield at Grinnell College. I don't see it on your list, I know the acceptance rate was 17-18% but was curious about the yield. thanks.

Are they just targeting their applciation pool very well?
Bowdoin is commonly known as one of the happiest LACs in the country. Unlike AWS, they provide just as good an education while also providing amazing amenities and food. They garner a lot of attention from Princeton Review and were ranked #1 LAC by Niche on student satisfaction. Pomona was second. Not very surprising they're 1 and 2 in terms of RD yield.
That's the reason why Pomona has such a high yield as well. Weather plays a role, but it is as excellent as AWS while providing better food, a richer social life through the other colleges, a more interesting geographic background, and better facilities. Those factors make an impact for admitted students.
word? Is it cornell level?
swarthmore food SUCKS.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I did the calculations and Pomona's RD yield is higher than Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, Northwestern, and others. That's very impressive for a small liberal arts college. I wonder why it has a much higher yield? RD yield isn't something that is easily manipulable, unlike total yield which can be influenced with ED statistics (hence why CMC is so high, almost 70% of their class was filled with ED applicants)
adjust for weather.
Pomona's yield is higher than any other LAC. what do the rest of the LAC's have in common that Pomona doesn't?
