Update? Did your DH get the hutch finished over the weekend, or did SIL buy one?

Oops. I completely missed this comment. Yes, I have a great relationship with everyone else.

Do you have a good relationship with the rest of DH's family OP?

OP, you seem more high maintenance and needy to me than your SIL sounding rude. Nothing she has done so far seems like a big deal - it just seems like you are making a big deal out of her actions. And looking for problems where there aren't any.

She tends to take direct as rude. It's frustrating. I love her but if this keeps up our relationship is going to most definitely be strained.

She doesn't like being told no or that she's doing something wrong?

Is your SIL unmarried and living with her parents? She's too demanding and doesn't have consideration for you and your husband. I think you need some distance to keep a good relationship. If your husband is able to keep her from being too intrusive and demanding, I'd let him handle her calls for a while.

Wow. These don't seem like a big deal to me at all.

If someone shows up at my house and I'm not expecting them, I do not pressure myself to answer the door. If they stand outside waiting for 10 minutes or whatever I don't care. I didn't tell you to arrive.
