Which leaves volunteering or donating to political campaigns, and donating to the ACLU, etc., right? Am I missing something else? Thanks!
I would donate to the NRCC, the NRSC and the
NRA. Make your voice heard!
I've always thought that if you can get a grassroots effort of 2-3 million advocates who believe in reasonable gun control to join the NRA (5 million dues paying members) combined with (assuming half of the current membership) 2.5 existing reasonable members that are probably supportive of at least some gun control efforts then you have the majority membership. Of course, doing something about contributions by the gun industry is another story but then you go after Sen/Reps who take their money.
I love a well meaning, mission driven non profit and foundation but there are too damn many of them, lots of well meaning money and efforts in too many directions. I thought Moms Demand Action was a great idea but with membership of just over 100K, I'm not sure how effective they will ever be.
