Nothing against Harvey Stern, I don't know him, but really, what made him "excellent" at doing an amnio? Most likely you just prefer his bedside manner and he's nice.
In response to this, here is our experience with Dr. Stern. He has seen us for three separate pregnancies.
The first time for an amnio, which went well, and the results were positive.
The second time, for CVS, but this time the ultrasound immediately revealed a very big problem (causing us to terminate). He went ahead with the CVS and he couldn't have handled the situation more professionally. He was our rock in a moment of absolute devastation and trauma.
The third time, for CVS, and again, he was very very good. Extremely sensitive to our past history, efficient, and warm.
I highly highly recommend Dr. Stern.
