The passage about not being showy referred to how you worship, not to your actions. Specifically, Jesus said not to stand on the street corner shouting your prayers so everybody can see you.
In fact, I find the way Jesus stood up to power to be an inspiration to protest.
On that note, you can't possibly argue that the guy who said "love your enemy" and told the tale of the Good Samaritan would approve of Trump's treatment of refugees. Don't get me started on his plans, with folks like Ryan and his OMB nominee Mulvaney, to gut public assistance programs, Social Security, and Medicare, all of which help the poor and the elderly. The hypocrisy is astounding as Trump tries to gut the Johnson reg so that conservative churches can give more to Republicans. Trump is a travesty as far as Christianity goes.
That's not completely true. The passage also talks about not being too showy when you "give alms." It did I not just refer to worship.

If we are all one, why would Christ say that? Chris undoubtedly loved even these leaders who wanted Him dead, but he didn't mince words about what was wrong with them.
Honestly, I'm not up to debating the issue with you. I wish you nothing but peace in your spiritual journey. However you might start here if you are truly interested -
1 Corinthians 12:27
John 10:34
Luke 17:20-21
Just to get you started. There are too many other great scriptures to list. And again, if you are truly interested in spiritual growth, you'll look for the answers. I can't debate this with someone unwilling to open her mind to the possibility that there might be deeper meaning to sacred scripture. I would never claim to have all the answers. As a Christian and a minister, I caution you to avoid anyone who claims they do. We are all seekers.
NP. It's not what that PP thinks, it's Jesus's teaching. If I believe in Jesus, then that's what I believe - that there's only one way to Heaven and it's through the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
That's what Christianity is.

So all you care about is getting to heaven?
That's what Christianity is.

I like the KJV best.
