I have Republic Wireless. When I started with them, it was $25/month for 5 gigs of cell data, unlimited wifi. The phones automatically connect to wifi wherever you are and you only use cell data when you're out of wifi range. Since so many places have free wifi now, I use less than 1 gig a month of cell data.

Their new pricing plan starts at $20/month for unlimited text, calls, and wifi and 1 gig of cell data. If you use about a gig a month, this would be a really cheap way to go. Adding a gig brings you up to $30/month.

My husband just got it. It seems good (and much cheaper than his old T-Mobile plan).

Virgin. 64 a month for two lines and data taxes included.

We switched from Verizon three years ago and never looked back.

I think 2 lines is $120. But that's unlimited with everything included, so no overages.

T Mobile is great if you travel internationally. I have found their customer service to be extremely helpful especially as compared to my Verizon land line service.

Cricket!!! we pay $100 a month including taxes and fees for 5 phones. We switched from AT&T. The service is exactly the same and we never run over. Their package and service is awesome. I actually wonder how they make a profit. Or maybe ATT and Verizon have just been scamming us all along.

If you like the Verizon network and don't need roaming, you could try pageplus, which runs on the Verizon network.

I think Total Wireless, is similar to Page Plus but offers better roaming terms.

I use Ting right now. In the past, I had mixed feelings about it. It took me a while to get used to the varying monthly payments based on useage. It really only works for people who don't use cellular service much.

If you use the phone more, I'd look at the $30 to $40/month plans from Boost, Virgin, Cricket, etc.

If you don't use the phone a lot you could look into Tracfone.
