Studio 54 was still alive during the 80's? And how do you get into these clubs at such a young age?

I've been to 80s night at Heaven and Hell back when they held this on Thursday night.

I love that genre of music! I also got a kick out of how the Dead Milkmen poked fun at people who took it way too seriously

I remember at college parties dancing to songs like Just like Heaven and Bizarre love triangle. We all knew the words by heart and would sing along.

I love Depeche Mode. Other favs include the Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, and New Order. These are my happy place and my default playlist has them.

Cut Copy, a newer band reminds me of these guys.

I listen to a ton of 80s music and was born in the 80s!!

And there's a new DM album due out in the Spring!

are you kidding? This music defined who I was back then! it defined my life like no other music genre has, since. Just about every song I hear takes me back to HS and college, and memories of my first real love (BF). We connected because of our love for the same music. Now whenever I hear The Cure, Tears for Fears, OMD, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Echo and the Bunnymen....I think of him. Not in a weird way, just with fondness for how simple and carefree my life was back then.

And yes I have my Sirius radio locked on 1st Wave, not so much XMU though.

My iPhone is full of the same music too. Current playlist includes Gene Loves Jezebel, The Cure, INXS, Marshall Crenshaw, Pete Shelley, Psychedelic Furs, Romeo Void, Talk Talk, Tears for Fears, The The.

Yep, they don't make music like that anymore.

Yes!!!! I love Depeche Mode and I've seen them in concert six times. Fell in love with Alan Wilder at the tender age of 13.

Also love the Smiths, Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen, the Charlatans, Love and Rockets, New Order, and Duran Duran.

I went to a 80s reunion concert at Wolf Trap a few years ago. Bands- ABC, Wang Chung, Cutting Crew, and Berlin. They may have gotten older but they all sound great live especially Terri Nunn of Berlin and Martin Fry from ABC.
