I'm the DC resident working in CA. You don't have to file in CA unless you exceed a certain number of days in CA itself. Your employer will need a DC employer if though.


I think they only need a DC address. At least that's how it worked for me in MD. My home address became the Maryland office. They had to include it on the workers comp policy and a number of other things.


Md / DC / va have all sorts of reciprocity deals. All I know is my employer had to get a DC EIN, but it's basically just a form.
