NP here. I agree with your post but some grandparents and family never want to accept and try to understand. Grandparents especially do not like to admit there is disability in their family, particularly a mental one. The fact that FIL is going beyond tolerating to actually teasing his grandson despite your efforts at education would make him extremely difficult to socialize with as a family b
