Because if the buuises show when you beat your kid for the B+, some nosy nanny state teacher gets all upset and calls CPS.

Yes, if your child has less than an A, it must mean that the teacher is a "screwup." Right. You are doing your child no service by teaching them this attitude.

My kid only has and IQ of a little more than 100 and adhd. I am upper middle class and am proud of the B's.

Why worry about other people's children? You take care of your kids, Tiger Mom and we will take care of ours. Thanks!

Was this answered?

Which HS?
A or B in liberal arts vs. STEM?
Is AP/IB considered?

I know lots of rich people who weren't great at school. You can't make anyone do anything.

In my opinion, parents take too much credit and too much blame for their kids' grades. I have one kid who sailed through HS with straight A's and another who struggles to maintain a low B average. Both were raised in the same middle class home, both were parented the same, given the same educational opportunities, and both are great kids with different strengths and weaknesses. I don't want to make the mistake of being too proud of the A student or too disappointed about the B student. They have different destinies on this planet.
