The Republican machine is incredibly powerful. We should care about this - I care about this. But our representatives and law enforcement seem to cave to the slightest bullying from the Republicans. There's indications McConnell knew all about this early summer, as well. And did nothing because he recognized there were gains for the GoP.

The Trump supporters have had all of the issues: taxes, conflicts, debt, lies lined up and are just willfully ignoring them.


None of this stuff is "new" - multiple independent sources have been talking about a multitude of disconcerting Russian connections since this spring and summer. The only thing that's changed is that the stories are connecting and are becoming corroborated.

But it was just routine billing questions. The Russians hadn't paid in full, plus there some billing adjustments necessary due to additional work that hadn't been included in the original proposals.
