Yes and I'd move overseas to a lower cost area and use my Spanish.

Full time remote isn't attractive to me. Half time maybe. Maybe. Too much out of sight out of mine. A friend went this route and was first laid off

One downside you need to think of is that it can be really hard to network when working from home, depending on what type of job you have. I work from home full time and I don't interact with people much (maybe 10 people on a regular basis) so I'm not getting to know other people in the company that can help me advance my career. It's been fine up until now but now that I'm looking to change positions, it's proving difficult.

That said, most days I'm so glad to not have to go into an office.

Yes, but I'd save that much on gas, maintenance, and insurance alone. Not to mention fewer childcare hours needed, more time in the evenings to make a proper dinner.

F--- YES! 4k is not a lot to not have to commute, roll out of bed, and be able to get so many things done around the house - cooking, cleaning, errands. Man, this would be a dream! lol

Depends on too many factors.

For me, I turned down a 100% remote job for one where I'm in the office 4-days a week, and can work at home whenever I need to. I like getting out of the house and being around people. But, my commute is less than 30 minutes so that's not an issue. The remote job also had other issues -- it was across the country and would have required me to manage a staff with a 3-hr time difference. I'd been freelancing for the company and the time difference was regularly an issue when it came to scheduling meetings. I might have at least given it a try if it was on the east coast.

No question. I'd do it.

No. I wouldn't even take a raise to work remote. I work in part because I like the social interaction.

Same here -- and I do not have a long commute. The office dress code requirement alone would be wonderful! Plus I would gain at least 90 minutes a day because I would be closer to the kids' schools.

I would not. But I like to interact with people. I telecommuted for 2 years, and hated it.

Don't know your situation, but in my own, I would in a heartbeat. My commute is ruining my life.
