+1 and he's looking at realistic schools for his stats. As others have told you, you will find your group at whatever school you go to. I went to a big ten school that always shows up on the list of "best party schools" but I'm not a drinker. I found my people and you will too wherever you end up. Good luck!

+2. When you first mentioned GCC, Paleo, it was like a light-bulb moment having followed your prior posts. I went to law school (big 10) with two GCC grads and both are doing quite fine in their professional lives, biggish firms in their chosen markets and both were well prepared for law school. My DH has taught classes at HS and I think if you aren't already wired into the southern gentile society it can be harder socially.
