There is a lot of drama at Churchill but I am not sure that is the same thing.

With their graduation rates as low as they are it is no wonder they need to put some idiot classes on the books to keep the kids occupied least they wonder the halls. I know the W's are so much better than these non-W schools, and many kids from poorer areas would benefit if they'd simply begin bussing them there to the W's. This would also help with desegregation by closing the achievement gap.
Riding bus for an hour won't make your kids smarter or more successful. It will just hide their mediocrity in a pool of families that are better at life.

Subject: Dance/Theater Program in W Schools?
BCC has a theater curriculum where every year a student can take a theater class, I believe there is Theater 1, Theater 2, IB Theater as well as elective such as Technical Performance, and Directing.
My son, a BCC freshman who does a lot of theater work as extracurriculars, has not taken the classes. The drama dept head who teaches explained how they differ from classes at Adventure Theater, etc. , dealing with the history of theater, reading and analyzing plays, and not just acting technique. Classes sounded very substantive.
A BCC student has 7 periods a day, generally 5 academic and 2 electives, and depending on course selection, could take theater and chorus every year. Try out for shows and either be cast (competitive) or sign up for tech (open enrollment, I think) and be involved in theater most days after school.
I don't know about dance at BCC.
Just wrote all this and realize non responsive as BCC is not a "W" oh well.
