In a kid's mind, pjs are fine, but $$$ is better.

PJs are great. They don't just have to be for sleeping.

Yay! I posted the Target link on page 1. I'd love to but DH wouldn't wear them. I wish someone would them them to our family as a present.

Man I love pajamas! We're a pajama wearing family. My parents too. Someday DH will learn to fit in!

OP. It's a mix - a cousin, his wife, and kids (teen son and two daughters under 10). They usually get us random practical stuff (toiletries, kitchen gadgets, etc.). We see them on holidays, but aren't super close otherwise.

Family flowers and consumables ONLY. Their kids will enjoy browsing through food gifts. Send one of hose litle trees with lights-anything is better than objects/gadgets/stuff.

I never wear a stitch of clothing to bed. There's no way anybody else would know that, which is all the more reason why I would be scratching my head if someone assumed I wear anything, let alone the specific item.

Nightwear is not a good gift idea unless you know the person really, really well.

I think it's a nice gift if you know the person likes wearing pajamas. Otherwise, it could be kind of a terrible gift--too personal, like underwear, because you don't know what people sleep in, if anything, and for kids, too boring and un-fun.

I don't wear pajamas to bed but I love to lounge in them beforehand and put them on in the morning when I get up. It's a nice gift idea.

I got pajamas for Christmas every year as a kid. My mom and I sometimes buy each other pajamas for Christmas--usually a cute pair of flannel jammies.

I'd totally suggest no giving among adults and only go gifts for kids.

This is a good suggestion, and all it needs to be is a small amount of money. Kids love getting cash or a check in a card.

I'd say it totally depends on the person receiving and how well you know what they would like. Personally, I don't wear proper pajamas to sleep in, but I wouldn't mind receiving them to lounge in.

On the other hand, after years of obliviously buying our kids PJ's as part of their Christmas presents, DS "preempted" me one year when he was 17 and revealed that he stopped wearing clothing to bed when he was 12 but didn't have the heart to tell me each Christmas morning when he opened the gift. If I didn't know that about my own son, you may want come up with a different gift idea for people you only see a few times a year.

For kids, yes, if they wear them. Mine stopped around 5-6. For some adults, yes, I get them, but for others never would. I don't wear PJ's.
