How does High Point compare to Hampden-Sydney?

And do you really think that's all that goes to High Point? Just children of rich divorced parents??

An expert in the college apps field told me "It's a place where divorced but but rich parents dump their disturbed kids". So we never went to look. And it is expensive.

Elon is a tougher school than HPU to get into.

My colleague's daughter goes to Elon and says High Point is terrible.

Elon is very popular now, and has been the focus of many articles (colleges that will change your child's life, schools with most beautiful campuses), I wonder whether it is now harder to get into than High Point

I have heard this as well about Elon. I also discovered that they send a ton of graduates to medical school and other health professions schools. Anybody else have have input on this High Point alternative (Elon)?

My cousin went there for one year before her father pulled her out because of what the other PPs said. Her mother, who is divorced from the father, sent her there and the father had no say in the decision. There was no financial aid and he got hit with a year's tuition. He transferred her to a state school in his state. He is still paying for that one year mistake.
