Especially on handkerchiefs!
I think you're fromFFU. No one in DC is fact averse enough to drink the crazy kool aid that you are clearly drowning in.
Tunnels are being used so the people from the French restaurant across the street can participate in this ring? Have you read The Crucible? This is a lie so ridiculous the people who started it must even be shocked that you people ate it up. You do know making stuff up for Trump supporters is a booming industry right? Specifically Trump supporters. If you say liberals are just as bad post a link. I have links for days to back me up.
I assumed (hoped) that PP was being sarcastic.

Be my guest. But there aren't millions of poorly-educated progressives mindlessly posting bat shit crazy conspiracy theories on FB. The Trump reality is more than enough.
NP here. Don't kid yourself. There actually are plenty of idiot progressives who post fake news stories and believe the "bat shit crazy conspiracy theories" and fake news concerning Trump:

And let's not forget the fake reports of violence perpetrated by Trump voters, and the REAL reports of violence by Clinton voters. What hypocrisy.

you are clearly kidding yourself. the batshit stories concerning Trump are actually believed by his voters and are the reasons many voted for him.

They would need to identify the source of the story. That's tough in the Internet age.
Anonymous wrote:I find it confusing that people believe this. It scares me that this is happening to a private citizen and his employees. I don't care who he supported for president or who he was in a relationship, no one deserves this. I hope these different platforms find ways to minimize the power of of these trolls.

Who in particular would you like to sue for commiting libel? Anonymous sources and random bloggers have skinny wallets.
As an aside, a couple of those pics were a bit creepy (e.g., toddler taped to table in restaurant without context). A small business owner could have foreseen how publicly posting them could result in negative feedback.
the NYTimes article says that the photographs were taken from personal social media pages of employees of the pizzeria and from personal Facebook pages of customers (families with kids, like mine) that had liked Comet online. the photographs were not apparently published by Comet on its website. I read parts of a Reddit posting that seems to have been part of the creation of the conspiracy and it was full of appalling lies, including that the pizzeria is decorated with sex images and symbols, that the bathrooms are covered with images of naked women and sex graffiti and so on. I have been to those bathrooms many times with my two little girls and never saw anything remotely like that. it is unfair to blame a business for what clearly is a deliberately fabricated lie. according to the NYtimes some photographs were taken from random sites with nothing to do with Comet or DC.
