Really sweet dog. Dumb as rocks and totally food motivated, but the most lovable animal on the planet!
I have a cocker spaniel hybrid (50% cocker spaniel), and while I love her to death and she's a fabulous dog, cocker spaniels are a really sad case of being overbred to the point of damaging their gene pool. Lots are really sensitive and snappy, plus have physical health problems. Many also shed like crazy, though not all. A good cocker spaniel is almost the perfect dog, but so many just aren't anymore.
