When people show you who they are, believe them.

Just the mere fact that he intentionally lied to you should in itself be not only a huge red flag, but also a deal-breaker.

If you continue to date this man, you will never know if & when he is telling you the truth.

Uh...Vets ARE called doctors because that's what they are. They go through veterinary med school. I've never heard of a vet imply that he/she was a physician/surgeon to humans. They are usually pretty proud to be called animal doctors.

Physical Therapists are usually pretty proud to be called Physical Therapists. They usually don't go around presenting themselves as physicians/surgeons because that would be misleading. Plus, they are proud of what they do.

How serious is the relationship? Maybe he just says doctor on the first couple dates because he doesn't feel like explaining the difference between that and a PA and a nurse.

What a shame! I'd be inclined to give him a second chance if you found out he fibbed about finishing his degree when he actually dropped out and started working a semester before or something like that, something that was unlikely to ever come up again that maybe he felt self conscious about.

But his job is going to come up daily with whomever he wants to be with. If he's lying to you about that job, he's not planning on being honest with you on a daily f*@$#%g basis. DTMFA.
