This is completely nit-picking, but at the end of episode 2, Patti is carrying a lamp in the pouring rain, then plugs it in at home--of course, it's completely dry.

I know the writers are trying to be deep by symbolizing light into darkness and having a lightbulb moment as she looks thoughtfully at the business card for Eleanor Holmes Norton by the glow of the lamp. But come on. In reality, not only would rain ruin the lamp shade, the whole thing would be soaking wet, so either the lamp would have shorted and not worked or she would have electrocuted herself when turning it on.

I wish the writers would pick between cliches and cheesy symbolism--have a break up scene in the rain or the lamp. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

They tried. There was a deadline that passed. I think it was Dec 31, when the options on the contracts with actors expired. Sounds like they only had a couple of weeks to find another network. It was produced at Sony, and I wish they would have kept it themselves to air on Starz. They've already built an audience with that demo with Outlander.

All I keep thinking watching this season is that I've always like EHN, but she isn't as tall as the actress portraying her!

Just finished the first season and loved it! I wasn't sure after the first episode, but it really grew on me. I really liked seeing the growth in all the characters, especially Jane and Cyndi.

Hoping for a season 2!
