I just posted about having been married to a sex addict. What OP describes is very characteristic of sex addiction.

I have been in recovery for three years thanks to a 12 step program for sex addicts. I have 3 kids. I am married and do respect my husband. Trust is pretty much obliterated and my husband is very angry with me.

Does your husband attend any S-Anon meetings or similar? I was married to a sex addict and S-Anon was a tremendous help for me.

He went to a few but he is still too angry

Any STDs? Did you spread anything to your husband?

How old are your kids? Aside from the impact on your marriage, how has this impacted your ability to parent or relationship with your kids?

Sex Addicts Anonymous disagrees and would say my insecurity and need for attention and validation were my character defects that facilitated my addiction. Step 5 and 6.

Does the first step of addiction recovery involve revealing all to him? If so, how did that go?

Yes he knows. It was terrible and he kicked me out. I'm back home now but it has been extremely tumultuous

Sometimes. And I would get wet from the "sexting".

Tinder, Craig's list, male coworkers, ex boyfriends. All men were potential acting out partners. By the time I got into recovery I felt like I was on the verge of becoming a sexual predator.

NP here: I actually knew a woman who really got into that. It was a "thing" of her's. I think she loved doing it because she was SO DAMN HOT (Brazilian and gorgeous) and the contrast of these old gross men all over her allowed her to feel in control. She could choose these gross guys, while conventionally attractive men were rejected (sometimes). Bizarre.

Some would just not take it that far. So yes I would get rejected. They wouldn't flirt back or whatever.
