My last two trips to SEA were in June and it was glorious. Not a cloud in the sky, temps 70s/50s, and great views of Mt. Ranier all day. Locals said it was somewhat atypical for that time of year, so maybe August is a better bet.

Piling on the August or September. It's glorious.

That's not historically normal but with global warming it's getting hotter for longer in the NW. Avoid July and August. VERY hot and not everywhere has A/C since it hasn't historically been unbearably hot for weeks at a time.

Average high temp for August for Seattle: 76, Portland: 81.

I'd hardly call that VERY hot.

Can you read? This poster says it was 100 degrees and that was not historically normal. I think we can all agree 100 (especially without ac) is very hot.

I love the PNW in July and August, but my family there reports an increase in the number of very hot days as reported above, so that makes planning tricky!
