I put candles in the bathroom and light them after my husband leaves. I think his restroom visits are toxic to my health and will take a candle burning anytime.

Op the real question is, why do you care what others think? Your home your rules? Are you trying to compete with the wealthy or something? Whenever I read a posted question like yours, I keep thinking the poster has an underlining self-confidence problem. Also some of the posters on dcum are socially weird. Yes, a little but I love them! The glade pumpkin ones out right now are my favorites.

But if you have a genetic predisposition to a certain cancer and you keep burning impure candles regularly throughout your life, or were exposed to them regularly as a child, then that might tip the balance.

I don't care if they're tacky - I love them! I'm going to break out my BBW candles this week. I would have done it this weekend but got busy.
