You clearly do not have children.

Scented candles make me feel nauseous.

Plus it's forever something that I associate with the admins/secretaries at my workplace. Scented candles are the MLM of choice for the secretarial pool. No thanks.

I put candles in the bathroom and light them after my husband leaves. I think his restroom visits are toxic to my health and will take a candle burning anytime.

The fact that you made this thread makes you low class and tacky.

Op the real question is, why do you care what others think? Your home your rules? Are you trying to compete with the wealthy or something? Whenever I read a posted question like yours, I keep thinking the poster has an underlining self-confidence problem. Also some of the posters on dcum are socially weird. Don't ask for their opinions.

Yes, a little but I love them! The glade pumpkin ones out right now are my favorites.

I take it you have never shopped in California.

If you had you would know that everything causes cancer. Everything.

Thank you - I'm a research biologist, I know when to take the warning seriously.

Would burning a few scented candles kill you?

No.
But if you have a genetic predisposition to a certain cancer and you keep burning impure candles regularly throughout your life, or were exposed to them regularly as a child, then that might tip the balance.

This PhD I listen to on the radio says they're toxic, same for the scented sprays. Dr. Michael Savage: WMAL | 105.9 FM and AM 630, 3pm-5pm.

I don't care if they're tacky - I love them! I'm going to break out my BBW candles this week. I would have done it this weekend but got busy.
