DCstatehood is like some fantasy wet dream for DC's politicos. Imagine being able to fill patronage in both state and local offices. With greater ability to raise new taxes. and more elective offices. What's not to like, unless you're a DC taxpayer having to foot the bill?!
I think DC taxpayers would like to get some representation in exchange for their taxation.
