This is ridiculous. Most guys do not "hate tall women". I am pretty average, IMO (5'11") and I dated three >=6ft women. Their height was statuesque and made them all the more attractive to me.
There are plenty of people who don't care one way or the other, but if there is a stereotypical (common) pattern it is that women want a taller male partner.

I'm 5'5 and have only dated tall men. When I tell them my exact height, many of them look visibly dosapppinted. "I thought you were shorter"
So in my experience.. yeah, the height difference thing seems to be a bit of a turn on for tall men.

My DH who isn't even that tall (6-0) strongly prefers tall women. He said it's because shorter women get really dumpy in middle-age.

You... realize how threads work, right? Someone makes the original post and then people chime in with their own opinions and personal experiences? Which is EXACTLY what I was doing? I don't know if you think I was endorsing my friend's brothers' statements by merely repeating it, or what kind of a nerve I've struck. But it certainly seems strange someone would come into a thread with this title and then be so upset when someone relates that story.
