8 years old is not completely normal to start puberty. Maybe for obese, for kids with some hormonal issue. It is completely normal to start by 11.

OP, any post about puberty and tweens on DCUM brings out the crazy nasty moms for some reason -- they think they have spotted a pedophile or some such nonsense. I got the same response last year to an innocent question following my DD's doctor's appointment.

You don't say how old your DD is so it's hard to give you any advice but I know it's disconcerting to wrap your mind around your child as an adolescent/woman when you still think of her as a little girl.

I understand you completely OP. It's the realization that childhood is coming to an end and the teenage years are here. I think for me it's hard knowing my little girl is growing up. But lots of excitement to come as you watch her mature. Enjoy these years!

Don't it's completly normal. Depending on how developed she is, things that she might feel are tender sore breasts and one breast might develop quicker than the other, she may want to wear thick jumpers to hide her developing body she may also start getting stomach cramps and start being very moody and emotional, Pubic hair may soon start to appear and she may also start noticeing discharge so you might want to get some pantiliners in ready.

how old is your DD?.
I have 2 puberty girls dd1 is 13, she hit puberty at around 11.5 and is now dealing with her second period but taking it all very very well. Dd2 is 10 about 6 monts ago I got a call from the shower very pleased to say she was getting pubic hair :0 and had to get her her first bra when sorting her back to school clothes. There is nothing too much to worry about op just go with it.
