Absolutely cannot take those planning units along Columbia pike to Wakefield. That would exacerbate the segregation in this county and break up affordable housing neighborhoods.

This is not just about distance from schools. There are obligations to not divide the county along racial and socio economic lines. This is a small county, no one is too close or too far away.

I bridged Yorktown Island and moved the eastern seats from W-L to Wakefield (4899, 4818, etc), but I wanted to keep the westernmost planning units at W-L, which is where we go (we're walking distance, so I assume that won't change).

It does seem like overkill for four years.

I expanded the Yorktown Island.
To Yorktown: 2315, 4815, 4818, 4828, 4829, 4899
To Wakefield: 1202, 4604, 4606, 4612, 4695.

This plan reduces the income disparity between the schools.

It's not just 100 students - the numbers at W-L go up every year. These are the ones I picked and as you can see, the numbers going from W-L to either Wakefield or Yorktown go up every year.

Washington-Lee -101 acceptable
Wakefield 79 acceptable
