When our house was for sale we had the water turned off to winterize. Even though there were signs, someone came through and yanked on and off all the taps. Every single one of them had to be fixed before we sold the house. My friend had someone place *change* down her garbage disposal and ruin it during an open house; ruined, had to be replaced.

Please watch your "spirited" kids because they cost us hundreds of dollars.

Op, what do you mean your 8 year old was "invited" to an open house? Of course he wasn't. You weren't either. There was one organized and you went to one. The agent was correct to tell your kid to walk with you. This is what you should have told him.

I did actually take a dump at an open house, only once. It was an emergency and I wouldn't ever make a habit of that. I was lucky that the only other couple there was downstairs while we were up.

OP here. While the 8 yr old was in the basement, my DH decided to drop a deuce in the powder room, and I freshened up with the lady of the house's cosmetics upstairs. I love the open houses - we'll be doing more them.

You don't let your kid "explore" on his own. The agent wasn't rude, either. He simply told your "spirited" boy how things really work.

You know he has issues (hence the term spirited) and yet you set him loose in someone else's house. Get real. You HAVE to be a troll.
