I agree with pp that months 1-3 or 9-12 are most common ranges in my friend group as well.
Is this timed sex though? I understood OP to asking how long it takes if you are not trying to time it in any way.

Stopped bcp on may 13 after 10 years so that I could start tracking my cycles to start trying in the fall- got a positive pregnancy test June 9.

Second or third month. I stopped oral BC about 5 months prior so that I could understand my cycles but we were still using condoms until we officially started trying. First month we didn't time anything, then for the next two we did.

About 5 minutes.
I was 28 and DH was 31.
Same thing for our 2nd. I was 30 at that time.

First cycle for #1, which made me believe that I am super fertile and could totally time #2 into my perfect window. We are now 4 months into trying on #2 and my timing window has been shot to hell, soooo yeah. It's humbling to realize that I actually have no control over something so important.

I was 27 when we started trying. We did 4 months of what you are doing and a year of serious tracking, temping, OPKs. Met with an RE and had unexplained infertility. Did 3 cycles of IUI with no success, moved on to IVF and got pregnant and had baby in 2014. I got my period 3 months postpartum and never went on birth control, sort of hoping for an "oops baby" but that did not happen. After DC1 turned 1, I did serious tracking for 4 months and then moved on to an FET and am now pregnant with my second.
I think if you are in your 30s and want to get pregnant you should get serious about it in a few months if your method doesn't work. good luck.

Third cycle, 31 years old, but I was charting and having a lot of sex during my fertile window.

18 months, including 6 mos of just trying, 6 months of charting, then two failed IUIs and a successful IVF. Infertility diagnosis "unexplained." I was 33 when we started.
