What about the Italian Style deli across from the McDonalds on Elm street in McLean. Great subs

I miss Dama Cafe soooooo much. The Ethiopian food is pretty standard but the coffee and cookies are HEAVENLY. Right next to the air force memorial.

Pastries at Best Buns in Shirlington. It's like eating butter...for breakfast! So wonderful.

It is not about living in a place, it is about the fact that you are charged an arm and a leg for food that is the French equivalent of Clydes. If you want good French food, go to Bistro D'Oc near emtro center! And it is a great atmosphere and it is well priced.

I disagree with the Italian Gourmet (Vienna) recommendation. Their bread is terrible and their subs are no better than what I can make at home.

PP here. DH is from Vietnam. We like just about everything at Hai Duong in Eden (they have great pho, but you should try some of the other stuff, too. It's all great)

Kebabs at Amoo's Persian Fusion (formerly called Amoo's House of Kebab) in McLean- All are delicious (chicken, kubideh, salmon, lamb, etc.)

I used to like Taco Bamba, but it's been sooo salty lately. Rice and beans side was inedible, and most of the tacos are really heavily salted.

Agree to the places in Eden Center and with Amma's in Vienna ( I've heard the one in Herndon is great too).

Will add:

Taste of Burma in Sterling. The fermented tea leaf salad is delicious.

Taco Bamba- lots of options-Vienna and Falls Church

Shamshiry and Alborz- any of the kabob platters- in Tysons Corner

Italian Gourmet- Subs are great- Vienna

Honey Pig and Soongwangalbi- Annandale and Centreville- I'm partial to the Nangmyeaon and bulgogi.
