There won't be space in a classroom.

Jenga, board games will be used and yes, the pieces will eventually get lost.

Nah, they can move stuff or she might have a carpet area for reading.

Not sure if you're in public school, but at least in MCPS, when there's inclement weather, they combine two classes in one classroom b/c they don't have the "staffing" or whatever. So that could be anywhere from 50-60 kids for "recess" in one classroom at least in lower MoCo. There's barely room for twister when there's just one class in a classroom.

This is true. Last year I helped out at indoor recess. Overcrowded schools never have cafeteria or gym use because there are always lunches and gym classes. We had 53kids in one 1st grade class with one para and me. INSANITY!!

Homemade play doh. The kids still love it. Legos, magma tiles, tinker toys etc...

Yea...same here in Loudoun county. There is a multipurpose room they sometimes can get time in and there they can run.

Why not ask the teacher what they have in mind?

For my first graders I purchased Twister, Connect 4 and Jenga. They liked all of those.

Other things my kids love during choice time include legos, playdoh and these awesome building blocks: https://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Building-Blocks-Starter-Set/dp/B009V1F70C
