It's kind of odd to me that different grades get different schedules. I'm used to everyone (except for K within an elementary school). I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that the schools are so big here or something. I'm also used to at least 40 minutes at lunch and can't imagine how it could be less. I think we used to get 50 minutes, but I'm guessing its shorter at my original school at well. I can't imagine having only 30 minutes.

Did you talk to the principal? I just did this at my DCPS ES. It is against DCPS policy (and DC Law).
