If the only thing wrong at the private school is that it is too small, then this doesn't seem like a great reason to change things in seventh grade. You described her issues as severe. I do not think that a child with severe issues will do well at an environment not designed for this. If you have no choice, than get it in there and work with the school. But it sounds like you have a good school for her now.

I would do this! Students with IEPs at ITS are increasing as they do them well. Not sure about middle school. It's the bleeding edge. Friends at the school like the middle school principal.
