Can't you be a DOJ attorney in another state? My DH is DOJ (not an attorney). We are in and out of DC every few years. He is FBI and works with DOJ attorneys everywhere we go.
Another DOJ attorney here, who loves my job. In theory, you can get a job with one of the US Attorney's Offices, but they aren't the same job.
