We kayaked and biked and took a float trip and hiked in Grand Tetons. The ferry on Jenny Lake is a MUST do. We saw a bear (too close for comfort) on the hike back from the waterfall.
Yellowstone is all about the geological formations (stunning) and the wildlife (glad we took the yellow bus tour so we could pay attention without stressing on the driving/steep drop offs). Grand Tetons is all about being ACTIVE.
Great vacation.

We had a great time.
So, you aren't responding to me at this point. But, if others have similar questions, by all means, go ahead and carry on!

I'd recommend Yellowstone and Grand Teton, but I haven't been. Going tomorrow, though! I think these two parks, or Glacier National Park, might be next on your list! (they are ajacent to each other so it's easy to do both). These are the NPs for the animals (and YS for the geysers, too).
Also...OP if you haven't been to Yosemite, well, than that's sort of a no-brainer. It's incredible. But it's more of a hiking place than YS/GT, although the hiking in GT is supposed to be amazing.
Love Grand Teton, just make sure money's no object. I think it's probably the most expensive domestic vacation destination.
