How do old threads like this get resurrected to Page 1 without anyone having posted on it in FOUR years?

I just don't see how this hotel can make it. The deplorables can't afford it, the business community won't book it for events, rich people don't want to be associated even if they support Trump. How long will it take to change hands?

That is not at all the same. In fact it's the opposite. In one case, DC wants to take property from certain churches to build a bike lane. In the other case DC is giving public property to a hotel for their personal use.

Yet another tragically ill informed poster. DDOT proposed adding a protected bike lane to a public thoroughfare which would impinge upon the God-given right of Maryland residents to park for free when attending church services in the District. Public parking spaces are not church property, although many Marylanders seem to believe that they were handed from the Mount by Moses himself.
