Gymnastics is great if you can afford it. It is a true luxury. At age 3, you can get the same skills at a playground. My son started gymnastics at age 5 and has progressed quickly. If the kids is a decent athlete, they will be fine.
My low tone DS really improved with once a week gymnastics classes . He got much stronger, better balance, it was basically PT for him. He went from a terrible athlete to a bad-to-normal athlete, will never be a decent athlete, but got much better.
